Position Summary
The Reclaim Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of asphalt reclaiming equipment to pulverize and recycle existing pavement for reuse in road construction projects. This role plays a key part in full-depth reclamation (FDR) and stabilization processes, ensuring the reclaimed material meets project specifications for size, depth, and consistency. The Reclaim Operator works closely with the grading and paving crews to support timely and high-quality project completion.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Operate asphalt reclaiming/stabilizing machines to pulverize and recycle existing pavement materials.

* Set and adjust machine controls to achieve specified depth, width, and gradation.

* Monitor material consistency and moisture content to meet project requirements.
*
* Coordinate with foreman, grader operators, and other crew members to ensure smooth workflow.

* Perform daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections of the reclaim machine.
*
* Conduct routine maintenance such as greasing, cleaning, and replacing wear parts.
*
* Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major repair needs to the supervisor.
*
* Maintain safe work practices, especially when working near live traffic or other heavy equipment.
*
* Follow all company safety policies, DOT/OSHA regulations, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Assist with general site work or other equipment operations as directed.
