Job Title: Structural Design Engineer

Location: Pelzer, SC

Duration: 12 Months

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design from concept to final construction drawings.
• Design structures for data centers and telecom facilities.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international building codes (including seismic & thermal).
• Create detailed designs for mechanical/structural components (lifting points, anchoring, gutters, etc.).
• Provide structural calculations (static & dynamic).
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and controls teams.
• Manage external engineering firms for calculations and documentation.
• Specify structural materials and finishes.
• Develop structural load tests, dimensional checks, welding/NDE specifications.
• Review and approve structural submittals.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing.
• Perform quality control and support onsite module repairs.
• Travel to fabrication sites for design validation and audits.
• Communicate with customers and propose creative, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• PE License (optional).
• 4+ years of mechanical/structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, MS Office.
• Experience with construction drawings and specs.
• Strong understanding of building codes.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to develop innovative, cost-effective design solutions.
