Description:

MAU is hiring a Material Control Specialist Entry for our client in Greer, SC.

As a Material Control Specialist Entry, you will support material planning operations by managing supply levels, maintaining supplier ratings, and serving as a key point of contact. This is a long-term contract assignment with the potential for hire by the client.

Shift Information
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, International Business (with German concentration), or a related field
    OR
    4 years of equivalent professional experience in Material Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Management, Material Control, or Production Control Management
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience
  • 1 year of professional experience in Material Planning with MRP systems
  • Basic knowledge of German or Spanish

General Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Ability to communicate in German or Spanish is a plus

Essential Functions
  • Control supplies and stock by planning the correct quantity of parts while optimizing inventory levels
  • Perform basic data processing and parameter administration in the Material Planning system
  • Support ongoing production, part run-ins/run-outs, and technical changes to minimize obsolescence costs
  • Maintain and analyze monthly supplier ratings and annual SUMIS (Supplier Management Information System) ratings as applicable
  • Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects
  • Act as a point of contact for suppliers, carriers, logistics associations, and institutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the operations supervisor

  • Work is performed in a professional office environment within a large-scale automotive manufacturing setting
