Food Expeditor

We are looking to hire a Food Expeditor at Seratonic, the new music venue attached to the AC Hotel in downtown Greenville. The Food Expeditor will act as the critical link between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, ensuring that all food orders are prepared, plated, and delivered to guests promptly and accurately. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Food Expeditor helps maintain smooth operations by organizing incoming orders, double-checking presentation and accuracy, and keeping service running efficiently during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the flow of orders from the kitchen to servers.
• Review each plate for presentation, temperature, and order accuracy before it leaves the kitchen.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management.
• Ensure food is delivered in the proper sequence and to the correct guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized expo station throughout service.
• Assist in managing ticket times to ensure prompt service.
• Support kitchen staff during high-volume periods with basic plating or garnishing when needed.
• Help resolve order issues quickly and professionally.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic food presentation and safety standards.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry items up to 30lbs.
• Work in a busy, noisy environment with varying temperatures.
