Business Applications Senior Solution Architect
The Business Applications Senior Solution Architect is a leader in the Hitachi Solutions organization, working to envision innovative, automated solutions in the Microsoft cloud environment. The Senior Solution Architect partners with the Sales team to drive the solution sales process from inception through close, ensuring that our solutions meet our customers' needs, and coordinates with Delivery Domains from project initiation through completion to carry the vision established in presales into delivery.
Responsibilities
- Work with Microsoft and other partner software and services organizations to ensure Hitachi Solutions is at the forefront of technology innovation.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Delivery Domains to develop and define business application solution offerings and reference architectures.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into innovative Dynamics 365 cloud solutions, leveraging Hitachi Solutions' core capabilities.
- Contribute to crafting sales deals that deliver end‑to‑end business solutions from a delivery mindset.
- Develop and deliver the conceptual solution blueprint document during the sales process.
- Define the scope of work for proposed solutions and collaborate with internal and external teams.
- Lead meetings with customers and prospects, gathering information and presenting solutions.
- Create and present sales documents such as estimates, statements of work, RFPs, and proposal decks.
- Refine communication, workshop, and delivery templates, processes, patterns, and practices.
- Onboard Delivery Domains to the conceptual solution architecture defined in the sales process.
- Facilitate open and effective communication across customer business units and functional teams.
- Conduct regular project architecture reviews during the Blueprint phase to ensure alignment.
- Review project outcomes with the delivery team to capture lessons learned and refine patterns and reference architecture.
- Identify where standard work and automation can accelerate discovery and communication.
- Support internal engagement across practice areas, IP, and marketing & sales teams.
- Travel up to 50% annually to support sales pursuits.
- Report to Senior Director, Solution Architecture.
Qualifications
- Mastery of Dynamics 365 solutions, including design, architecture, configuration, customization, and deployment of Finance and Supply Chain, Project Operations, and Commerce applications.
- 8+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise solutions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
- Experience working within heavily matrixed, cross‑functional teams.
- 4+ years performing and leading pre‑sales activities, including deal cost estimation and resource planning.
- Experience with Power Platform, Power Apps, Data/AI, Customer Insights, and Power BI is preferred.
- Ability to express complex technical and business concepts effectively, across disciplines.
- Self‑directed, highly motivated, with strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Experience in contract development and relevant Microsoft certification is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
Base Salary Pay Range
$170,000 – $230,000 USD / $155,000 – $215,000 CAD (general guideline only)
