JOB SUMMARY
The Receiving & Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for managing incoming shipments, verifying and organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that materials and products are properly received, stored, and tracked. Candidates should be detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A collaborative, team-oriented mindset is essential.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Accurately record received items in the Warehouse Management System.
• Label and organize inventory in designated storage areas.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in inventory transfers, stock adjustments, and returns as needed.
• Ensure safe and compliant handling of materials per OSHA and company guidelines.
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as trained.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving and inventory area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in warehouse receiving and/or inventory control preferred.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and barcode scanning technology.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly; up to 70 pounds (with assistance) as needed.
• Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
