General Warehouse Person

The General Warehouse Person is responsible for performing tasks involved in processing and shipping orders to the stores that service our customers. Responsibilities include receiving, scanning, picking, packing, auditing, and shipping merchandise to the stores. This may require working in areas higher than ground level. The role also involves tracking all inbound and outbound items through radio frequency scanning to ensure accountability in inventory, verifying orders, and ensuring entry into the inventory management system. Additionally, the person maintains a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all areas of the distribution center are well maintained, kept orderly, and free of debris. The individual must maintain quality standards set forth by distribution center management.

External Basic Qualifications:

  • Willing to work a flexible shift including overtime as needed.
  • Willing and able to stand at least 8-10 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, bending, grasping, daily pre-shift stretching, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school/GED diploma preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
  • At least 6 months experience operating motorized material handling equipment.
  • At least 6 months experience with radio frequency (RF) scanning.
  • At least 6 months experience entering and retrieving data in an inventory management system.
