Job Title: Preventive Maintenance Helper

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. 1 - 3 years work related experience
3. Ability to lift 50 lbs.& climb ladders on a routine basis
4. Work with limited supervision and after hours as needed
5. HVAC related work experience and / or has or currently enrolled in formal classroom training
6. Computer Knowledge
7. Valid South Carolina Driver's License

Reports To: This person is directly responsible to the Preventive Maintenance Master Foreman

Job Goal: Help PM Technician repair district facilities in an expedient manner.

Responsibilities:
1. Using and caring for hand and power tools
2. Preventive maintenance and repair on gas water tube boilers
3. Preventive maintenance and repair on fin tube boilers
4. Preventive maintenance and repair on circulating pumps
5. Preventive maintenance and repair on air handlers and unit ventilators
6. Preventive maintenance and repair on heat pumps and A/C units
7. Preventive maintenance and repair on gas heating units
8. Preventive maintenance and repair on water and air cooled chillers
9. Interpret blue prints and wiring diagrams
10. Be familiar with preventive maintenance techniques according to equipment manufacturer's O&M manuals
11. Other duties assigned by supervisor / including Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)

Other information:
Terms of Employment: Twelve Months with Salary in Group Preventive Maintenance Helper, Maintenance/Warehouse Salary Schedule

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy.
