GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the CCE - Corp and Continuing Edu department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

To develop, coordinate, implement, and manage assigned continuing education course offerings; manage the revenue and expense of course offerings to maintain effective working relationships with customers, both internal and external; to develop multi-media marketing plans for courses; to promote new ideas for departmental growth. Coordinate the implementation of new and existing courses including: soliciting input from industry professionals and survey/analysis distributed to general public; communicating with students, arranging class logistics and scheduling classes; making sure textbooks and materials for hands-on training are available; negotiating contracts with clients for customized training; ensuring proper documentation is being maintained per course requirements; tracking student progress and ensuring registrations and payments are in order. Successful implementation will enhance workforce skills, provide re-training for unemployed, and create highly trained employee pool for area business and industry. Coordination and collaboration with related Academic programs.

Provide information regarding career path options to general public telephone inquiries and walk ins, including information about potential pay, and potential employers, along with providing information about possible funding sources for student tuition. Interface with public, advocacy, departmental colleagues, and educational groups/course providers one-on-one or in team settings to determine best practices for course development and implementation, marketing and student retention, and seek out business/industry professionals for training opportunities to increase employee productivity and bottom-line results. Promote new ideas for departmental growth, process improvement, and innovative ways to meet client and/or market needs.

Evaluate, review, and report on assigned program areas revenue/expenses through the use of software and Student Information System and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Collect data necessary for monthly and quarterly reports by following required guidelines.

Work with Auxiliary services to promote venue rental and catering services use at CHI. Develop and evaluate marketing methods and assist in developing advertising materials with marketing coordinator such as catalogs, newsletters, eblasts, website and brochures. Perform other duties as needed.

Community relations regard to recruiting of new interested parties to enroll in programs offered.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree plus relevant program experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
This person requires strong organizational, coordination, written and oral communication, and computer skills. Developing and coordinating quality CE course; managing the revenue/expenses for each course and keeping accurate records and reports on related activities; supervise adjunct instructors effectively and seek out new instructor resources; maintain effective working relationships with customers, both internal and external, must be able to work with adult learners; work with marketing department to develop multi-media marketing plans for courses; provide support with new ideas or projects. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. A background in culinary and/or teaching adults is preferred. Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the area of employment.
