Position Description

Reports To: Project Manager / Superintendent

Position Summary

The Concrete Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating concrete construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications. This position manages crews, oversees equipment and materials, and ensures the highest quality of workmanship on all concrete-related tasks, including formwork, placement, finishing, and curing. The Concrete Foreman will lead by example, maintain crew morale, and promote a safe and productive job site.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily concrete construction activities, including forming, placing, finishing, and curing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Assign tasks to crew members and monitor progress, productivity, and quality.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Inspect completed work to confirm it meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Manager, Superintendent, and other trades to coordinate workflow.
  • Maintain daily records including time sheets, equipment usage, and job progress reports.
  • Enforce safety regulations, conduct daily safety meetings, and address potential hazards immediately.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to improve skills and efficiency.
  • Order and schedule delivery of concrete, rebar, and other necessary materials.
Troubleshoot problems and make adjustments in the field to keep projects on schedule.

Position Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of concrete construction experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and curing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of concrete tools and equipment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and best practices in concrete work.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and extended hours as project demands require.
  • Valid driver's license; clean 10 year MVR.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noise.
  • Requires lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, kneeling, and working on uneven terrain.


Ability to work long or irregular hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
