Materials Manager
We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to lead an Industrial Engineering team for the GE Vernova Greenville site. This role will drive materials excellence across the site by designing, optimizing, and implementing systems that improve material flow, reduce waste, and improve manufacturing efficiency. This role will require both strong technical expertise in materials systems and hands-on leadership and passion for continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Industrial Engineers to execute high-impact transformational improvement projects aligned with the Greenville Site Roadmap and long-term materials strategy
- Design and implement material routes and delivery solutions focused on material presentation for assembly incorporate both small and large part deliveries that improve assembly efficiency, quality, and lead time reduction
- Develop and implement technologies to build automation into material flow routes with a focus on improving safety and efficiency and promote standard work adherence
- Develop, implement, and sustain Standard Work across all materials processes ensuring consistency, safety, and adherence to Lean principles
- Partner with IT, Operations, and Lean to identify and implement system enhancements that promote seamless data flow and streamline transactions
- Implement LEAN solutions and pull replenishment strategies within SAP for new markets supporting pitch delivery strategies for GT assembly
- Implement technologies to improve quality and efficiency of transactions in ERP that promote strong inventory controls aligned with physical movements
- Lead layout design and optimization of new material locations to support efficient staging and picking processes, improve safety and ergonomics, and enable efficient material movement to lines and assemblies
- Operationalize PFEP (Plan for Every Part) to establish standards for the wing to wing value stream enabling solutions spanning from supplier shipping standards to presentation to LEAN lines and assemblies
- Drive strong project management through the creation and execution of project timelines and milestones
- Foster a culture of problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 additional years of materials or inventory management experience

- Proficiency with SAP in a manufacturing environment
- Strong LEAN manufacturing experience

The salary range for this position is $122,600.00 - $163,500.00 USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
