Alliance Air Products, a member of Daikin Group, is seeking a new Sales Applications Engineer with focus on our custom Commercial Air Handlers. This role will provide technical expertise including design on commercial HVAC products and strategies to position the product to compete effectively in the marketplace. The engineer will interact with customers to demonstrate the value of our product lines and be part of an exciting journey at Alliance Air Products and Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive every endeavor.

Location: San Diego preferred, though open to a remote position. Some travel to customers, the San Diego office, and manufacturing facilities in Tijuana, Mexico.

What you will do:

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representatives' inquiries regarding special applications, systems, or pricing.
• Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements.
• Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs and assess processes to meet those needs.
• Process requests for modifications or options and other information not covered by published pricing.
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace.
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application.
• Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers.
• Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processes.
• Provide leadership and direction within the sales and engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and AutoCAD/3D application experience.
• Experience in blueprint and technical document review with ability to understand and read technical details from prints, drawings, and other documents.
• Independent analysis and judgment skills, using prior experience and knowledge to resolve non‑standard problems.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 – $143,000 on a national level. The typical salary in San Diego ranges from $97,000 – $150,000. Depending on the level of role, you may be eligible for a 10% bonus incentive plan. The range displayed represents the pay range for positions in the job grade that this position falls in. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
