Cushman Sr Production Manager

Job Summary: This position is located at the Milliken Cushman Plant in Williamston, SC and reports to the Plant Manager. The role leads production and process departments to achieve productivity, efficiency, cost, quality, delivery, and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Location Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Human Resources to address personnel needs, execute hiring, training, and cross‑training plans, and review implementation status.
- Interview applicants with Human Resources to identify qualified candidates.
- Ensure associates understand plant and business goals and their role in achieving them.
- Manage Department Production Managers, PPI, and VOH teams, fostering communication, teamwork, and individual engagement.
- Allocate work to meet delivery objectives and ensure timely, accurate completion.
- Ensure correct payroll and conduct written performance evaluations, provide continuous feedback, and address deficiencies or recognize achievements.
- Promote continuous safety improvements, support safety committee activities, and address corrective actions promptly.
- Manage Process Engineers and oversee job‑related training within ISO and MPS frameworks.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring needs analysis, interviewing, training plans, disciplinary actions, and performance goal setting.
- Maintain adherence to safety and production procedures; inform the Location Manager of critical decisions and potential impacts on performance.
- Partner with business and plant product development groups to develop new products and processes that meet or exceed customer expectations at optimum cost.
- Control departmental variances and manage costs daily, implementing strategic objectives to meet short and long‑term goals.
Qualifications – Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Textile experience preferred.
- 2–5 years of production management experience.
