Enterprise Data Architect (Hybrid OR Remote- Jersey City, Raleigh, or Hartford)
Arch Capital Group Ltd. invites applications for the Enterprise Data Architect role. This position is part of our Data Management team and will lead the architecture function to help Arch become a data‑driven, AI‑enabled organization.
Location: Hybrid office or fully remote, must live near one of our North East offices (Raleigh, Jersey City, or Hartford).
Base Pay Range: $122,000 - $149,000 per year. Additional compensation opportunities exist and are determined by location, scope, and qualifications.

- North Carolina: $122,000 - $149,000
- Morristown, NJ: $142,000 - $173,000
- Jersey City, NJ; White Plains, NY: $157,000 - $180,000

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Chief Data Architect to develop and execute the enterprise data management roadmap in alignment with Arch's Data & AI strategy.
- Manage market‑solution architecture designs and playbooks for modern data warehousing technologies like Snowflake and associated analytics capabilities.
- Co‑ordinate delivery of data management initiatives with solution architects and program data architects.
- Own the target‑state enterprise data management platform, overseeing transition from current states and incorporating new capabilities as needed.
- Lead the Data Management Centre of Excellence, covering all data management and tooling aspects.
- Maintain vendor relationships across all data‑management tooling.
- Quantify and communicate the value of data platform transformations, shaping roadmaps in partnership with domain SMEs.
Skills & Experience
- Strong data architecture expertise with a history of large‑scale transformative programming.
- Proven experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Access Management, and Data Privacy for global enterprises.
- Deep technical knowledge of modern cloud data warehousing and ecosystem (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure services, dbt Cloud, Collibra).
- Hands‑on experience with data ingestion, transformation, visualization, and metadata management tools, preferably Snowflake.
- Experience building data products aligned to business requirements and the data mesh paradigm.
- Track record of leading successful technical adoption of modern data management capabilities.
- Senior stakeholder communication skills with executive reporting experience.
