Place Services, Inc. has immediate need for Metal Fabrication Shop Foreman to be based near Greenville, SC.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan and coordinate job schedules for the shop and monitor team's performance.
  • Instruct and direct the team with specific tasks.
  • Supervise tasks and assist in layout for fabrication of duct and specialty fabrication.
  • Maintain records of job progress and perform quality control checks.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and machinery are properly maintained.
  • Check and maintain inventory levels of metal and components to keep production flowing.
  • Train and mentor new employees.
  • Maintain a clean shop while coordinating removal of trash and metal recycling.
  • Timekeeping of shop employees.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure the team follows company safety standards.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of mechanical duct fabrication experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment to produce rectangular duct and specialty fabrication needs.
  • Thorough knowledge of prevailing codes within the mechanical trades.
  • Thorough knowledge of hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to supervise the work of skilled and semi-skilled teammates.
  • Ability to analyze defects and quality issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Ability to read, interpret blueprints, and to lay out work from prints, rough plans, sketches, drawings, and broken parts.
  • Ability to make estimates of labor and materials needed for mechanical jobs.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Ability to transfer 130 lbs. a distance of 12 feet with the help of another person.
