Sales Application Engineer – Alliance Air Products – Custom Air Handlers

Daikin Applied Americas invites applications for the Sales Application Engineer position focused on Alliance Air Products' custom commercial air handlers. The role blends technical expertise, design, and customer engagement to ensure optimal product solutions and market competitiveness.

What You Will Do

• Provide prompt and accurate support to sales representatives on special applications, system options, and pricing.
• Analyze and propose product or service modifications to meet specific customer requirements.
• Communicate with customers to evaluate their needs and assess processes to fulfill those needs.
• Process requests for modifications or options and other non‑published pricing information.
• Stay informed on new products and competitive market offerings.
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application use.
• Conduct product training for sales representatives and customers.
• Evaluate and propose improvements to product training processes.
• Provide leadership and direction within the sales and engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and AutoCAD/3D application experience.
• Experience reviewing blueprints and technical documents with the ability to understand detailed prints, drawings, and other documents.
• Independent analysis and judgment skills to resolve non‑standard problems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation

The typical annual base salary ranges from $90,000 – $143,000 nationally and $97,000 – $150,000 in San Delgado, with a possible 10% bonus incentive plan based on role level. Base pay will depend on skills, experience, and location.

Location

San Diego preferred; remote work possible with travel to customers, the San Diego office, and the manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico.
