Join the Phlebotomy Team at SRHS-Mary Black Campus! As a phlebotomist, no two days are ever the same in our energetic Phlebotomy Lab. You will work with patients of all ages and provide a variety of different tasks as assigned-playing a vital role in delivering high quality healthcare to our community.
Performs venipuncture and collects other specimens for laboratory testing. Label specimen containers accurately, deliver to proper destination in a timely manner and perform order entry duties as required. Must be able to provide and understand the specific communication, developmental and treatment needs of patients ranging in age from neonate-birth to geriatric. Compliance: understands and complies with the Standards of Behavior and department policies, procedures and regulations.
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program.
Experience: The skill to draw an average of 7 patients per hour within the first 90 days of employment. Proficient in the use of Laboratory Information System within the first 90 days of employment.
License/Registration/Certifications: Must be ASCP eligible.
