This position manages the full systems development life cycle of projects/programs within the area of responsibility. The specialist will coordinate and take the lead role for the technical/functional development and support of SAP IT applications. This includes areas such as Warehouse Management, Yard Management, Quality Management, Plant Maintenance, and/or Inbound Logistics. Key objectives are to plan, design, develop, and implement efficient IT systems , and to apply strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to resolve systems issues and maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Perform planning, analysis, designing, requirements definition, functional design, development, testing, and implementation of IT solutions.
• Provide support for difficult and complex system environments, including assistance and training to users.
• Coordinate activities simultaneously for multiple projects.
• Effectively utilize ITPM Agile methodology for all tasks.
• Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals.
• Ensure the compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, developing strategies for improvement or further leveraging these systems.
• Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to application developers.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.

Required Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, Business, or the equivalent of 4 years of experience in an IT application or Infrastructure profession.
• Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience (Expert Level, able to train others) in the following:
• Programming experience using a variety of languages and technologies, including ABAP/4, SAP UI5/Fiori, SAP BI/BW, Data Warehouses, C++, JAVA, HTML, JSP, J2EE, SQL, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX, and XSLT.
• Planning, analyzing, designing, testing, implementing, documenting, and training in a variety of SAP areas, preferably Warehouse Management, Yard Management and/or Inbound Logistics.
• Project management and executing/communicating project plans.
• Working in a customer service-oriented environment.
• Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Functional knowledge in systems such as SAP R/3 related modules or production systems.
• Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, and Internet Technologies.
• 3+ years of experience (Advanced Level) communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Basic knowledge of cost and budget control.
• Constantly performs work in a normal office setting
• Frequently works normal shift schedules with overtime and on-call activities
• Occasionally works in a manufacturing area and frequently wears necessary protective equipment when in the production area
• The role also requires occasional international travel
