Primary Purpose: The Sr. Platform Engineer- Directory Services has a demonstrated track record of providing expertise and leadership in the design, configuration, and management of all corporate, distribution center and retail digital media devices and associated supporting services. They are expected to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment leveraging forward-thinking technical engineering expertise in the media device and services area of the enterprise. The Sr. Platform Engineer & Directory Services is responsible for projects from inception to completion including all project artifacts, executive status reports, and supervision of less experienced contributors. This role works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors, deep understanding of the business strategy, operations, markets and key stakeholders.
Work Arrangement: Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Mauldin, SC, Carlisle, PA, Chicago, IL, and Quincy, MA. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in the analysis, design and preparation of technology solutions to meet business needs
- Recommend components for solutions that will work well together across business domains, partner with domain architect or act as the domain architect to ensure adherence to the architectural roadmap
- Accountable for projects/applications/infrastructure meeting business needs being delivered in a timely, cost-effective manner considering all budget aspects including total cost of ownership
- Ensure project artifacts are developed as required, including documentation with support organizations and suppliers
- Facilitate the creation of communication plans, ensuring appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders
- Develop robust test plans, cases, and scripts; ensure defects are resolved and user acceptance is obtained; track test scripts and defects in department tools
- Act as communication point keeping supplier and business partners informed of infrastructure changes, application changes, data changes or upcoming implementations; address business-specific impacts
- Ensure integration and consideration of assigned business areas against critical processing windows, freeze periods, schedule changes and significant refresh activities
- Understand the business strategy, operations, markets, and key stakeholders
- Review business processes to understand capability gaps and opportunities
- Recommend innovations and business processes/systems simplifications
- Build close relationships with function heads and their teams; advise on how technology can improve performance
- Serve as 3rd level support to resolve issues within area of responsibility
- Suggest and lead initiatives to improve ways of working and reduce technical debt
- Develop solutions of diverse scope and solve technical problems impacting multiple areas
- Communicate with internal teams across multiple areas and client teams
- Lead projects/teams regarding solution design, process and approaches
- Act as a subject matter expert on technology solutions; deliver high-quality work in cross-functional teams; lead technical assessments
- Contribute to and lead brainstorming sessions and delivery approaches; demonstrate technical leadership and team empowerment
- Lead remediation efforts across the Active Directory environment by interpreting GPOs, reviewing AD groups, and identifying embedded privileges
- Utilize tools like Ping Castle to analyze AD security posture and initiate changes through ServiceNow
- Collaborate with third-party providers to implement changes, track progress, and ensure updates are documented
- Script GPOs and manage privileged accounts in alignment with organizational access policies

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS or related (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of equivalent experience in a relevant technology role
- Experience in an advanced technical role and in guiding, mentoring or training team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a relevant field or additional certifications
- Experience in Agile teams or product/platform-based operating model
- Strong understanding of Active Directory Users and Computers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ServiceNow modules including Change Management, Incident Management, and CMDB
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple remediation tasks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in retail or grocery; experience in leading teams
Salary ranges: ME/NC/PA/SC: $92,640 - $138,960; IL/MA/MD: $106,480 - $159,720
