Reports to: Civil Division Project Manager

Job Title: Civil Site Work Superintendent

Job Summary: Provides overall leadership for execution of successful outcomes of assigned TCG Civil - Site Work projects. Leads the project team with a focus on project delivery, utilizing open communication, setting clear direction, and establishing high levels of expectations. Responsible for providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards during the Pre‑Construction phase of each project. This position requires passion, dedication, and a strong sense of accountability with the ability to align with the executive team to optimize growth potential and contribute to strategic objectives of the Company.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Management during the Preconstruction phase.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Mentor less experienced team members on daily duties required to effectively manage the project.
  • Ensure adherence to the project schedules and production.
  • Maintain working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases of site development and civil construction.
  • Identify constructability issues through the construction process.
  • Work with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish long‑term relationships and identify future project opportunities.
  • Guide the research and recommendation of resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors.
  • Assist the team with submittals, RFIs, change order proposals, owner billings, time‑sheet management, subcontractor/vendor billings, monthly reports, etc.
  • Ensure timely owner billings by verifying work‑in‑place quantities and billings from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Verify production of accurate monthly cost projections forecasting total estimated costs at completion.
  • Identify and propose value‑engineering alternatives.
  • Assist in obtaining bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating price.
  • Prepare production reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co‑workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Interact with others effectively using good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance to achieve business goals.
  • Identify training needs with assistance from managers, develop a personal improvement plan, and take responsibility for learning and improving technical and sales skills regularly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to manage installation, repair, and maintenance associated with site construction.
  • Supervise and assist construction crew towards achieving production goals following customer guidelines and specifications.
  • Analyze construction documents and relevant information and apply analysis to budget development.
  • Communicate orally and document in writing to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.
  • Understand written and oral communication and interpret abstract information.
  • Carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
  • Process written and other materials visually.
  • Work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft products.
  • Knowledge of HCSS HeavyJob or Bluebeam preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience a plus.

  • High‑pressure, fast‑paced environment with significant telephone and personal disruption.
  • Large number of multiple steps in complex systems performed with accuracy and speed essential to successful completion of tasks.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study or equivalent preferred.
  • 5‑10 years of experience in civil construction required.

Additional Requirements

Must be able to travel.

Job Type: Full‑time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
