Job Description Summary
Support management to achieve project profitability and schedule goals.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Perform all essential Entry Level/Intern Project Engineer responsibilities.
2. Attend and document project meetings (write minutes).
3. Set up and maintain electronic filing system.
4. Update and maintain all drawings, specifications, and logs.
5. Assist with preparation and updating of CPM schedules.
6. Evaluate construction means and methods.
7. Maintain site safety plans and conduct audits, meetings, and training.
8. Distribute documents to subcontractors and maintain logs.
9. Evaluate field problems and document PCI's.
10. Prepare and maintain PCI logs on CMiC system.
11. Review and transmit submittals, and maintain related logs.
12. Perform expediting functions.
13. Verify and code labor cost and accounts payable workflows.
14. Verify original estimate quantities and report labor quantities.
15. Prepare and document change orders and surveys.
16. Maintain PCI logs and quality management system.
17. Maintain progress photo album and close-out documents.
18. Manage record set drawings and punch list work.
19. Perform basic Building Information Modeling functions.
20. Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Experience:

1. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or relevant certification.
2. 1-3 years of construction-related experience; internships preferred.
3. Field experience is a plus.
4. Willingness to travel to Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Raleigh, NC.
5. Basic understanding of construction cost accounting, estimating, and scheduling.
6. Basic computer skills, ability to read plans and specs, organizational skills.
7. Effective communication skills in English.
8. Ability to use judgment and be self-starting.
9. Drafting and advanced computer skills are a plus.
10. Knowledge of virtual construction technology is preferred.
