Role And Responsibilities

As an AE you are the tip of the spear for the entire sales process and will effectively be building a business within a business.

  • Meeting with Clients: discuss business requirements, challenges, and objectives with customers, uncovering sales opportunities for engineering services and technical solutions.
  • Structuring Deals: while Sales Engineer and Solutions Architect assist with the technical solution, you will position our deals to win, driving funding, contracting, pulling in stakeholders, engaging OEMs and other external partners.
  • Market Research and Prospecting: manage assigned accounts or generate own opportunities through research and outreach.
  • Networking: build relationships with industry OEMs, consultants, and VARs to develop a brand within the community.
  • Continual Education: invest time in sales, industry, and OEM training to continually improve value to customers and partners.
  • Sales Reporting: maintain and update your sales pipeline.
  • Collaborating with Other Departments: develop relationships with internal partners (engineering, project management, post-sales operations).
What You Bring To The Table
  • High school diploma / GED
  • Either 3+ years of recent Federal Market sales experience with track record of selling advanced technology solutions OR recent experience in a technical capacity for the Federal Government (DoD, Intelligence, or Civilian agency).
  • Excellent solution/consultative selling capability
  • Demonstrated sales and account development experience with growth in revenue and gross profit
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Attentive and responsive to internal and external communication to create an optimal customer experience
  • Experienced in working with customer, departmental, and executive staff
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects
  • Proactive organization and problem solving
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb technical information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Experience
  • Bachelors degree or related experience, or equivalent corporate training
