The Supply Chain Manager, Americas

The Supply Chain Manager, Americas is responsible for leading and optimizing the supply chain strategy and operations across the Americas region. Based at our Mebane, NC plant, this role is critical in ensuring process efficiency, enhancing productivity, and effectively managing inventory. The Manager will oversee all aspects of planning, inventory replenishment, production control, SIOP, and inventory management, ensuring seamless coordination across departments. Additionally, this role plays a key part in capacity planning, lead time optimization, product availability, working capital management, and line size rationalization. A core emphasis will be placed on developing strong, collaborative partnerships with sales and logistics teams to support long‑term business success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Safety Initiatives: Champion safety across the facility by leveraging the SAF WAM pillar, ensuring the safety and well‑being of all employees and adherence to safe processes.
  • Production Planning & Budgeting: Develop and maintain production plans based on sales.
  • Provide accurate business forecasts, collaborating with functional groups, i.e. Sales, operations, and finance business teams to meet budgetary targets.
  • Lead the Americas SIOP Process and strategy: Actively Lead the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process by making data‑driven decisions on future capacity requirements in alignment with forecast demands.
  • Lead the demand replenishment team to ensure stock levels and service levels are maintained at the ODCs and DC warehouses.
  • Manage budgeted working capital levels to ensure inventory meets budget.
  • Utilize SAP functions and MRP for optimization of production planning processes within the ERP system, forecasting, and demand management tools.
  • Inventory Strategy Development: Formulate and implement inventory strategies to consistently achieve on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) service levels of over 85% in AI and 90% in CF.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Set clear, measurable objectives for direct reports and lead performance development initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Plant Scheduling: Oversee the weekly scheduling meetings for Mebane, ensuring production goals are consistently achieved.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production and Sales teams to ensure materials and resources are aligned with production demands.
  • Mentorship & Training: Mentor, coach, and provide development opportunities for team members within the Supply Chain organization.
  • Warehouse & Logistics Optimization: Help to optimize warehouse footprint and improve logistical operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • SAP System Management: Support the integrity of SAP data and contribute to the development and implementation of system enhancements to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Sub‑Contracting Management: Oversee planning for subcontracted processes and ensure the seamless integration of new and existing sub‑contracted operations within SAP.
  • Inventory Performance Reporting: Manage and distribute Days of Inventory performance reports, driving actions to meet budgeted inventory targets.
  • Order Policy Review: Collaborate with planners to update and revise order policies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Leadership: Lead and support the development and execution of the WAM Supply Chain pillar, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • KPI Monitoring & Reporting: Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance production planning performance, OTIF, DOI, budgeted inventory levels.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and laws.

Job Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, logistics, or business is preferred.
  • SAP MM/PP and APO. Strong Master data management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain Management experience in the manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 10 years of production planning and production control experience.
  • Working knowledge of process improvement tools and techniques such as World Class Manufacturing, with Customer Service and Logistics Pillar experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communications and presentation skills.
  • Previous analytical and financial experience preferred.
  • Possesses the ability to effectively lead cross functional teams in a global environment.
  • Proven experience in creating technical solutions.
  • Advanced computer skills (SAP and Microsoft Applications).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Approx 15% domestic travel.

Compensation

The expected compensation range for this role is $150,000.00 - $175,000.00.
