Foothills Retirement Community, a faith-based senior living organization, is seeking a Director of Memory Support to lead our Memory Care household using the Montessori for Aging and Dementia philosophy. This role directly influences the quality of life for residents and provides leadership to an engaged team focused on dignity, independence, and meaningful daily experiences.

What You'll Do

You will develop, coordinate, and implement person-centered programs for residents living with dementia and Alzheimer's, while fostering an environment that promotes resident choice, engagement, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Overseeing the Memory Care household.
  • Designing purposeful daily engagement and activity programs in collaboration with the Lifestyle Coordinator based on resident abilities, needs, and interests.
  • Leading and participating in interdisciplinary care plan meetings.
  • Building strong, ongoing relationships with families.
  • Assisting with policy/procedure development for dementia care best practices.
  • Recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching Memory Support employees.
  • Supporting marketing efforts to achieve occupancy/census goals.
  • Modeling the Montessori approach and inspiring staff to uphold the standard of excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • Knowledge of CRCF Regulations
  • 3 years of proven experience providing care to persons living with dementia.
  • 3 years of supervisory / leadership experience.
  • CPR Certification
  • Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications

  • LPN, RN or Bachelor's degree in social work, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field with emphasis in geriatrics.
  • National Dementia Care Certification (Montessori-based dementia certification, NCCDP, AFA, or equivalent).
  • 5 years of specialized experience in dementia care.
