Maintenance Refrigeration Technician

$35-37 hour (Direct Hire)
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair ammonia and nitrogen refrigeration systems, freezers, air conditioning, and chilled water systems for food production and storage.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Keep logs, analyze data for maintenance planning, and inspect equipment using gauges and manuals.
- Order parts and maintain work areas according to GMP and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in training as needed.
- 1-3 years industrial ammonia refrigeration maintenance experience required.
- Experience with nitrogen freezers and related equipment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in refrigeration systems.
- Ammonia Operator Level I certification required; Level II preferred.
- Remain stationary and position self to access equipment in tight spaces.
- Move, transport, and install equipment and parts up to 50 pounds.
- Detect and assess equipment conditions, communicate and exchange accurate information.
