PIRTEK Pitt County is seeking a Mobile Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll service, assemble, and install hoses for customers in industries like manufacturing, construction, and equipment rental. You'll operate a fully equipped mobile workshop van and respond to service calls throughout Eastern NC.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and replace hydraulic hoses on-site
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
Build relationships with new and existing customers
Maintain service records and manage parts inventory

We're hiring a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a wide range of customers. This hands-on role involves physical labor, messy environments, and on-call hours (with incentive pay). Grit and reliability are key.
No prior hose experience is required—PIRTEK provides full training on industry knowledge, safety, and mobile unit operations. Technicians also have access to a 24/7 support hotline for technical assistance.
Responsibilities
- Follow PIRTEK and industry safety standards
- Respond to service calls and customer visits
- Diagnose and replace faulty hoses
- Clean or contain spills per regulations and customer expectations
- Log service details for accurate invoicing
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Maintain tools, equipment, and mobile service unit
- Resolve issues on-site and follow up regularly
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule (with incentive pay)
- Perform other duties as needed
Work Environment
You'll operate from a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center using a fully equipped mobile service van.
- Territory-based service areas
- Varied work conditions (terrain, noise, temperature)
- Frequent exposure to oil, grease, and lubricants
- Occasional travel for training (covered by PIRTEK)
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Safely use ladders, stairs, and step-ups
- Mechanically inclined; skilled with hand tools and equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Safely and legally operate a large work van
