POSITION SUMMARY: General building maintenance in men's residence halls. This GA position is available to those pursuing post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to follow instructions completely
- Perform simple maintenance repairs including plumbing, electrical, dorm furniture, etc.
- Assist with pest control as instructed
- Help train and lead a small student crew
- Basic knowledge of using hand tools
- Good attitude
- Willing to learn
- Clean, well-groomed appearance
- Courteous communication with the students and fellow workers
- Discernment to contact supervisor concerning transfer of work demanding time/skill beyond the scope of this department
- Occasionally lift/carry over 100 pounds
- Occasionally push/pull 40-100 pounds
- Must be enrolled in post-graduate studies at BJU
