Location:Greer, SC (Greenville/Spartanburg, SC)
Compensation: $100,000-$125,000 (DOE)
Requirements: 3+ years experience working as a construction estimator (preferably in commercial/residential roofing)Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for construction and a knack for numbers? Join our growing team as a Commercial Roofing Estimator, where you'll play a key role in shaping successful roofing projects from the ground up. This position offers a dynamic blend of fieldwork and office-based analysis, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Project Evaluation & Planning

  • Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine project scope.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing roof conditions and gather data for accurate estimating.
  • Perform material take-offs and develop scope narratives for bid packages.

Estimating & Proposal Development

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
  • Use industry-standard software to generate professional proposals and budgets.
  • Compare current bids with historical data to ensure competitive pricing.

Vendor & Partner Engagement

  • Solicit pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to validate scope and pricing assumptions.

Team Collaboration & Client Relations

  • Work closely with sales, operations, and project management teams throughout the bid and build process.
  • Maintain strong relationships with general contractors and clients, providing timely follow-ups and bid clarifications.

Market Awareness & Compliance

  • Stay informed on roofing technologies, building codes, and market trends.
  • Ensure all estimates meet company standards and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial roofing.
  • Familiarity with roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and coatings.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., The EDGE, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Work Environment:

  • Mix of office work and field visits, including rooftop inspections.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and using safety equipment.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet bid deadlines.

Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience with CAD software for shop drawings is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification .
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong asset.
  • Existing relationships with contractors in the local market are highly desirable.
