JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Plan and coordinate assembly processes, tolls, fixtures, and equipment for designated areas of responsibility within assembly. Assist in special projects as assigned including equipment/structure modifications within areas of responsibility. Plan, design, and assist in engineering changes and deviations for assembly. Develop, evaluate and improve assembly processes and process methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication process, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards. Develop and maintain assembly process sheets. Analyze and plan space requirements & workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Coordinate with finance, procurement, design staff and vendors concerning product design, process tools, fixtures and equipment to ensure efficient production methods and to arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts. Evaluate product according to specifications and quality standards. Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Coordinate with management, engineering and other staff regarding assembly capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Utilize statistical methods to estimate future assembly requirements and potential. Assist in special projects and/or self-initiated projects for continuous improvement, structural planning and/or other series and new model related planning projects. Provide specialized technical guidance, training, process improvement activities and support to assigned process area and production associates. Prepare analysis on process and quality issues not solvable by production areas. Perform other duties as assigned by operations supervisor. Work with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, MATLAB, SolidWorks, and ANSYS - Finite Element Analysis (FEA) package.

JOB REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field plus two years of related experience. Foreign degree equivalent is acceptable. Must have at least 2 years' experience working with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, MATLAB, SolidWorks, and ANSYS - Finite Element Analysis (FEA) package.

JOB LOCATION: 220 N. Main Street, Suite 500, Greenville, SC 29601. Travel not required but must be willing to relocate to unanticipated cities across the country per contract demand.
