Description:

Place Services, Inc. is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join our growing team in our Easley, SC office. This role will focus on construction project performance, business unit-level performance, and the summarization of financial results across various forms of managerial and financial accounting.


The ideal candidate has strong analytical capabilities, experience working with construction workflows, and the ability to synthesize data across systems to drive operational clarity and profitability.

What You'll Do:


  • Monitor and report on construction project performance, tracking schedule, budget, labor, process adherence, and material trends
  • Analyze and summarize business unit-level operational performance across multiple teams and regions
  • Develop and maintain custom dashboards, KPIs, and reporting queries using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Build and optimize queries to combine and transform data across various systems and tables (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, Excel, accounting systems)
  • Use Alteryx for data blending, automation, and streamlining reporting workflows
  • Coordinate with accounting, estimating, and procurement teams to improve forecasting and financial visibility
  • Provide timely and insightful managerial accounting summaries (e.g., job-level profitability, margin trends, overhead allocation)
  • Ensure reporting aligns with both operational metrics and financial controls
  • Stay current on advancements in business intelligence, AI, and automation that can improve construction operations
  • Recommend and implement tools, process improvements, and scalable data practices to support a high-growth environment

What You Bring:


  • 1–2 years of experience in operations analysis, business analytics, project controls, or financial analysis (construction exposure preferred, but not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for dashboarding and data visualization
  • Experience using Alteryx or similar ETL tools for data preparation and reporting automation
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL, DAX, Power Query, Snowflake or other data modeling/query tools preferred
  • Familiarity with managerial accounting principles
  • Familiarity with commercial construction processes and platforms (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint) is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical insights to non-technical teams
  • Curiosity and engagement with emerging technologies—especially AI and business intelligence trends
