Support cross-functional teams to deliver qualified Wind Turbine components that meet engineering requirements, cost targets, and production fulfillment schedules. Review supplier documentation, perform audits, and evaluate test results against GE requirements. Execute research and development programs on new steel materials and processes that enable new product introductions for GE Wind turbines. Continuous improvement of current Wind components to improve quality and/or reduce costs through new or revised special processes and/or alternate materials. Resolve material processing related issues encountered during manufacturing at suppliers and throughout the life cycle of the component while in service. Review records of quality, composition, and mechanical properties to detect trends that may indicate undesirable changes in product quality.
