Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday - Thursday, 6am to 3pm & Friday 6am to 12pm
Pay Range: $24.00 Recent Grads- ($28.00 to $35.00) per hour based on experience

Position Summary

OpSource Staffing is seeking a skilled Mechanical / Electrical Mechatronics Assembly Technician for direct placement with a global leader in precision machinery manufacturing. This role involves hands-on assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of complex automated electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both mechanical and electrical components in a high-quality, team-based environment.

Core Responsibilities

Assembly & Fabrication

  • Build and assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components into complete machine systems.
  • Use hand tools, torque wrenches, soldering equipment, and fabrication tools to fit and align assemblies.
  • Mount motors, sensors, actuators, pneumatic and hydraulic devices per engineering drawings.

Installation & Wiring

  • Wire control panels and machine components according to circuit diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Route and terminate cables, install sensors, relays, and motion control systems.
  • Perform electrical continuity and functionality checks before system startup.

Testing & Calibration

  • Conduct performance and alignment testing using precision instruments.
  • Calibrate assemblies to meet customer and engineering specifications.
  • Record and analyze test results, reporting findings to engineering and quality teams.

Troubleshooting & Repair

  • Identify and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or control systems.
  • Replace faulty parts or components and verify system operation after repair.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate assembly and testing records, including quality checklists and work logs.
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement of assembly and testing processes.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Support equipment setup, preventive maintenance, and daily safety checks.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
Key Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or technical diploma in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field - or 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, soldering, torque application, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience with PLCs, servo drives, or automation equipment preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
