Junior IT Project Manager

Job Description

The Junior Information Technology (IT) Project Manager reports to the Principal Project Information Manager, supporting various IT projects through the Analysis, Configuration / Test, and Implementation Phases. The preferred candidate will demonstrate strong problem?solving skills while carrying out their daily responsibilities of project planning/scheduling and tracking progress. This will be conducted through the individuals strong communication skills to ensure the teams collaboration meets the projects scope, schedule, and cost goals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the automation scope, services, budget, and schedule


• Coordinate design automation kick?off activities and provide overall cross?discipline automation coordination


• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four?year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and three years of work?related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six years if non?degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements


• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders


• Job?related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job


• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines


• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time?conscious and time?effective manner


• Review and analyze system specifications and requirements


• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand features and functionalities

Discipline Specific Job Requirements

• Proof of U.S. citizenship is required


• Facilitation of business process management sessions and workshops


• Specialize in data analyst skills and/or data quality management


• Specialize in business process modeling and management

Preferred Qualifications

• Accredited four?year degree or two?year diploma, or global equivalent, in Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, or Computer Science is preferred


• Three years of experience in project management position


• Three years of experience in IT Project Information Management / Information Technology / Automation


• Three years of experience in Automation support, Computer Aided Design (CAD) coordination, Project Controls, Engineering, or Procurement/contracts, or equivalent is recommended


• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking


• Good communication and teamwork skills
