HTI is working with JTEKT North America, and we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager.

Our Piedmont plant is currently undergoing a major expansion in 2025, bringing in over 120 new machines and automation systems, creating exciting opportunities for growth and advancement.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a quality management role, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, and SPC
  • Proficiency in 8D, 5Why, root cause analysis, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and Gauge R&R
  • Hands-on experience with inspection and testing equipment
  • Familiarity with induction heat treat processes and quality controls related to heat treatment
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive quality improvements across departments
  • Experience managing internal and external audits, supplier quality, and customer complaints
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with quality management software is a plus

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain a Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001/45001, and other relevant standards
  • Lead all quality assurance and control activities including audits, inspections, and testing
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics and KPIs to implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Manage internal audits, customer audits, and supplier evaluations
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis
  • Oversee non-conformance investigations and corrective actions
  • Maintain PPAP documentation, FMEAs, control plans, and equipment calibration records
  • Resolve supplier quality issues and improve incoming material performance
  • Provide training on quality procedures and best practices across the organization
  • Handle customer complaints and warranty claims to ensure resolution and satisfaction
  • Supervise and support all associates in the quality department
