Normal Work Schedule: Tri-County typically operates during the hours of Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The successful candidate can expect to travel between multiple campuses in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties

Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to apply for the role of Electrician. They will troubleshoot and maintain all electrical and lighting systems on campus in a safe and efficient condition. They will help supervise and organize electrical craftsmen involved in repair, modification, maintenance and construction projects.
Job Functions:
- During specified maintenance and construction projects, supervise a crew of trades craftsmen, providing guidance in their trade or other trades for the safe and efficient performance of the project. Provided cost projections for electrical systems needed in all remodeling projects as well as working closely with new construction and alterations performed by outside contractors. Learn software such as Procore and input information as needed for projects
- Install and troubleshoot all types of electrical equipment including low voltage control to high voltage building connections, motors, transformers, control panels and lighting electronic controls. Test, maintain, install and repair all types of electrical distribution equipment. Including preventive maintenance of electrical distribution and infrastructure equipment across all TCTC campuses.
- Provide TCTC customers with electrical support for business, instructional, community, promotional, celebratory and student needs events.
- Provide electrical support and installation for critical I.T. equipment and infrastructure. Includes installation of power feeds and relocations for various I.T. equipment
- Maintain, install and repair all types of campus lighting. Including interior, exterior, exit and emergency lighting. Maintain the proper storage and disposal of batteries, ballast and lamps, following the TCTC hazardous waste guidelines.
- Manage the maintenance and operation of all TCTC Fire Alarms, Security Alarms, Generators and Elevators by coordinating the service and inspections of these types and other related systems. Ensure regular maintenance inspections, perform monthly elevator inspections, provide support and guidance to the outside venders and contractors for all system inspections and repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and experience in the construction or repair of secondary electrical systems. Relevant experience may be substituted for the required diploma on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 5 years electrical experience.
