Description:

HTI is seeking an experienced Process Engineer for a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in Duncan, SC. This role will focus on optimizing injection molding processes, training technicians, and driving continuous improvement efforts in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This position is Direct Hire, M-F 1st shift. The pay range is $80,000 - $90,000 depending on experience.

What You Need:
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a technician, engineering, or process role in a molding and assembly-manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Strong understanding of injection molding processes and tooling
  • Computer literacy and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train, lead, and collaborate cross-functionally

What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Process Engineer will be responsible for ensuring stable, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This includes hands-on work with tooling, process troubleshooting, machine optimization, and team training.
  • Perform tool changeovers and start up processes with end-of-arm tooling
  • Monitor and adjust machine parameters to maintain process stability
  • Identify and resolve root causes of process issues (machines, tools, settings)
  • Improve machine efficiency and overall utilization
  • Maintain high-quality standards across all injection molding machines
  • Analyze and address customer returns from a process standpoint
  • Train process and setup technicians on proper use of equipment and settings
  • Optimize setup of injection mold tools and secondary equipment
  • Collaborate with Planning to maximize uptime and minimize changeover time
  • Provide absence coverage for Process Technicians when needed
  • Support ongoing 5S activities
  • Participate in projects assigned by plant or technology leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned
