About the Role
Join a fast-growing, multi-discipline engineering environment delivering HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection designs across commercial, institutional, industrial, and healthcare projects. As a Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer (PE), you'll lead system design, mentor junior staff, and coordinate closely with electrical, civil, and structural teammates to deliver high-quality, code-compliant solutions on schedule and within budget.
What You'll Do (Day-to-Day)
- Lead design/engineering for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems.
- Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment selections.
- Produce construction drawings, specs, and details in AutoCAD/Revit (BIM).
- Conduct site visits, review submittals, and support construction administration.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams for integrated MEP delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers/designers and perform QA/QC on deliverables.
- Support client meetings, schedules, budgets, and light project management.
Must-Have Qualifications- Active PE (Mechanical).
- Deep knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.
- Working knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, and state/local mechanical codes.
- Strong communication and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Nice-to-Have (Pluses)- Exposure to forensic/failure analysis (plus, not required).
- LEED accreditation or sustainability/green-building experience.
- Energy modeling (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP).
- Field coordination / construction management experience.
- Broad project type experience; client-facing presentation skills.
Schedule- Mon-Thu 7:30a-5:30p, Fri 7:30a-11:30a (flexible 4x10 option).
