Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Engineer to ensure our products and processes meet all applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety specifications. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement compliance strategies for products and processes
* Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements and standards
* Conduct compliance risk assessments and gap analyses
* Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation and technical files
* Manage product certification processes
* Coordinate testing and validation activities
* Review product designs for compliance requirements
* Interface with regulatory agencies and certification bodies
* Support quality management system maintenance
* Train staff on compliance requirements and procedures
* Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues
* Lead internal audits and support external audits
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)
* 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance
* Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, CE, FCC, UL)
* Experience with quality management systems
* Understanding of product safety requirements
* Strong documentation and technical writing skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Strong project management skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Engineering or related field
* Professional certifications (CQE, CRE, or similar)
* Experience with international regulations
* Knowledge of environmental compliance (RoHS, REACH, etc.)
* Background in product development
