Third Street Academy - 600 W. 3rd Street, Greenville, NC 27834 - is currently seeking several Federal Work Study Students to serve as Principals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the classroom teacher with instructional tasks, preparation of materials, and classroom management.

* Provide tutoring in reading, math, and other core subjects under the direction of the teacher.

* Supervise and support students during independent work, transitions, and enrichment activities.

* Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher.

* Monitor student behavior and report concerns to the appropriate staff.

* Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive learning environment.

* Maintain confidentiality of student records and school matters.

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's degree or working towards degree.

* Prior experience working with children or in a school setting (preferred)

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Patience, flexibility, and a willingness to take direction

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Commitment to the mission and values of Third Street Academy
