Position Summary
The Financial Analyst for operations on the finance team will provide financial support for the commercial team (~50%), and operations team (~50%). This team member will gather data for analysis, provide reports and conclusions in relation to that data, make recommendations for improvements, etc. Team member will be proactive in data analysis, process improvement and being a strategic business partner to multiple functions. Supervise support personnel to drive results and improvements.
Primary Functions
- Support Commercial team and Operations team with concise information from which to drive projects and profitability.
- Support key charters with data and analytical analysis
- Communicate regularly with commercial and operations teams
- Travel periodically to familiarize resources and procedures.
- Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process
- Monitor, analyze, and review key project financial transactions
- Provide financial modeling, KPIs, and guidance to operational leaders to help drive decisions.
- Forecast future periods based on data and provide guidance on achieving those targets.
- Stay updated regarding manufacturing changes to help drive improved financial results.
- Keep models updated for target margins and other strategic initiatives
- Push the finance function to the next level
- Automate and eliminate manual work through Power BI and other data models
- Build smart models allowing quicker and accuracy decisions across various financial aspects of the business
- Not taking the current processes as good enough, but continuously improving

Key Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in finance/ accounting/ /business or related
- 4 + years of prior experience in finance/manufacturing and technical knowledge
- 4+ years' experience in data collection and analysis for financial review.
- (Preferred) Experience with commercial and operations teams
- Epicor ERP and quoting software knowledge/experience a plus but not essential
- Big data (Power BI among other) experience a plus but not essential
- Past experience in budgeting, forecasting and data model building a plus.

- Ability to work independently completing projects in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis to gather operational data that will be used in cost rollup.
- Results orientation and high degree of initiative, follow-through, and accountability. Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
- Ability to utilize various personal computer programs within a LAN environment, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, as well as to analyze problems and make independent judgments to initiate corrective action and resolution.
- Strong task and detail orientation, awareness of urgency in communication, while displaying diplomacy in day-to-day interactions.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Must also develop and deliver concise presentations to Senior Management level.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting at workstation approximately 80 percent or work time.
- Located in Greer SC HQ office, potential for partial remote work
- Typical office environment.
- Must be able to travel 10 percent of work time.
- Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
- Ability to travel and work in manufacturing atmospheres in various climate regions.
