Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the Quality Manager in ensuring product quality, compliance with process control plans, and adherence to AIAG standards. This role is critical in driving customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and compliance across RMF facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as assistant to the Quality Manager and quality liaison for customers.
• Monitor and report on compliance with control plans, highlighting adverse trends and out-of-control conditions.
• Maintain and update process flow charts, control plans, and FMEAs per AIAG standards.
• Support preparation of PPAP submissions to meet customer requirements.
• Participate in production, continuous improvement, and vital signs meetings.
• Manage processes for nonconforming material, corrective and preventive action, change control, and measurement systems analysis.
• Conduct audits of management systems, products, and manufacturing processes.
• Support APQP activities and validation testing for new and prospective customers.
• Assist in training, visual management system implementation, and corrective action validation.

Qualifications

• Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• ASQ certifications (CQT, CQA, CQPA, or CQE).
• TS 16949 Lead Auditor Training.
• Formal problem-solving training.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a quality role with a Tier I/II automotive supplier or automotive OEM.
• Lean manufacturing and process/product audit experience.
• Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency with continuous improvement tools, 8D problem-solving, SPC, and quality tools (Pareto analysis, trend analysis, histograms).
• Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and AIAG standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Salary

Salary: $67,620 - $102,827 per year
