Manager - IT (Automotive Manufacturing)

Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to serve as the key link between plant leadership, regional/global IT teams, and end users. This role oversees the implementation of technology solutions that align with our business strategy and ensures smooth IT operations across the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between plant, regional, and global IT to align IT strategy with business objectives.
  • Consolidate and prioritize plant IT requirements and lead the implementation of solutions.
  • Manage IT projects, budgets, and capital requests for new facilities and program launches.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant IT staff including hiring, performance, and training.
  • Ensure adherence to company technology standards, security policies, and processes.
  • Drive cost optimization and leverage best practices across the region.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT experience with strong background in project management and manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, Supply Chain, Quality, Warehouse, or Preventive Maintenance).
  • 3–5 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, integrated IT projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with budget management and global application implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (or similar).
  • Willingness to travel to customer and plant sites as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with discrete/repetitive manufacturing environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple teams.
