JOB OVERVIEW: Senior Field Service Engineer (FSE) involved in vacuum heat treatment.

Overview

The FSE will travel to client locations (major manufacturers in Medical, Automotive, and Aerospace fields) and service sites across North America (approximately 90% US; some Canada and Mexico). Travel requirements vary and may be extensive.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client locations and work from the technical office in South Carolina, servicing clients throughout North America.
• Direct the installation of the furnace and ensure correct component connections for gas, water, and electricity depending on the client.
• Commission vacuum tests after installation to ensure proper functionality of the furnace.
• Perform after-sales services including preventative and emergency maintenance and repair, troubleshooting, and leak detection.

Educational Requirements

• Associate's Degree or trade certificate equivalent in electronics engineering, mechatronics technology, mechanical engineering, machine tool technology, or industrial maintenance.
• Ability and willingness to be trained and learn processes for quality control testing and instrument calibration.
• Ability and willingness to learn about vacuum technology and its industrial applications.
• High mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Basic PLC knowledge (Siemens S7/Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with industrial hand tools, power tools, drill presses, and MIG/electrode welding.
• Completion of drug screen and background check.
