Job Summary

Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and ensuring the quality of test data for energy products. Supports new and existing technology testing, instrumentation selection, data acquisition, and control system diagnostics. Leads projects, manages schedules, and documents test schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support new and existing technology testing, working with Design Engineering teams in the planning, design, development, instrumentation, and execution of engineering development and Root Cause Analysis testing of energy products.
  • Facilitate and assist with instrumentation selection and application, hardware modification, and test setup and execution to validate engineering models.
  • Develop knowledge of instrumentation to measure temperature, pressure, flow, strain, vibration, and digital signal processing for all CDT Test Programs.
  • Lead control system development and diagnostic projects, including configuring and tuning PID controllers and advanced control loops.
  • Utilize communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, PROFIBUS, HART, OPC DA/UA; set up and maintain network connectivity and security for remote data monitoring.
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Operate as a project manager; submit cost estimates, track costs, and create schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Previous internship or academic experience with lab testing and data acquisition.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in measurement technology development and mechanical design analysis.
  • Proficiency in engineering software, 3D modeling (AutoCAD, NX/UG, or similar).
  • Programming experience with Python, C/C++ for data acquisition and analysis.
  • Project management skills with cost estimation, milestone outlining, and deadline delivery.
  • Strong interest in measurement technology and metrology.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC site; travel to field sites (U.S. and/or Global locations).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (may vary based on season and customer demand).

Pay and Benefits

Base pay range: $71,600 – $107,400 USD per year. 5% variable incentive performance bonus. Geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. Relocation assistance provided: Yes.
