1. Payroll Processing - Generate and distribute paychecks or manage direct deposit of employee wages. - Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger to ensure accuracy. - Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 2. Employee Support - Provide guidance and training to employees on payroll-related policies and procedures. - Assist with the implementation of new payroll systems or updates to existing systems. - Educate employees on payroll policies and procedures. 3. Compliance - Stay up to date on federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations. - Respond to payroll-related audits and inquiries from government agencies. - Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll information.
