Job Responsibilities
Assists with all incoming calls and correspondence and/or forward to the proper person or office. Exhibits professional and courteous customer service skills by listening to the publics needs either in person or by phone and offering solutions. Enters work requests, checks internet requests and dispatches concise details to maintenance crews by routing the request or notifying them of a hazard in the roadway. Operates computerized systems to compile, type, revise, combine, edit, print and store correspondence, reports, records, and other documents. Produces reports and spreadsheets using Excel, Word, and other computer programs. Assists other personnel with computer program questions and problems. Assists with general office support needs. Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations. May include being available for extended working hours or 12-hour shifts. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
The physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for an extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside normal business hours.
