Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Duties:

Evaluate new case files to develop legal strategies, budgets, and action plans

Determine procedural requirements and delegate preliminary tasks to support staff

Draft and review legal documents, including discovery responses and pleadings

Oversee document production and coordinate with clients and internal teams

Participate in depositions, hearings, and related proceedings; provide detailed case updates

Negotiate case resolutions and prepare matters for trial when needed

Maintain consistent communication with paralegals, legal assistants, and clients

Requirements:

Active license to practice law in South Carolina

3-5 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably within insurance defense or civil litigation

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Experience conducting or supporting depositions, hearings, and motion practice

Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and legal advocacy

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the South Carolina State Bar (Required)

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Comfortable with legal databases and case management software

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also independently handling assignments
