This is a critical leadership role — serving as the link between production, logistics, and supply chain — ensuring materials, schedules, and shipments flow efficiently from start to finish.

Reporting directly to the Plant Director, this individual will lead a large and impactful team across materials management, scheduling, logistics, and inventory control. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, lean manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high‑performing team across material planning, scheduling, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Manage the full production flow from receipt of raw materials through stamping, assembly, and shipping.
  • Oversee customer EDI data, analyze and translate requirements into actionable production and logistics plans.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation, ensuring on‑time and cost‑effective material movement.
  • Develop and execute production and capacity planning to meet customer demand.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for logistics, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing principles, including JIT, pull systems, and standardized work processes.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives across material handling, storage, and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to support new product launches and engineering changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in materials management, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing large teams (100+ hourly and salaried employees).
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, and inventory control.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience preferred).
  • Background in automotive manufacturing (stamping, welding, painting) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with automotive OEM standards such as AIAG, VDA, MMOG/LE, and Odette.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

What's Offered

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunity to lead a critical function at a major automotive manufacturing site.
  • Collaborative, forward‑thinking culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement and people development.
