Job Details

Set up and operate machine tools including Manual Lathes, Manual Milling Machines, Grinders, to aid in the manufacturing of machine rotary dressers according to blueprint specifications, instructions and standard chart. Applies general knowledge of machining techniques and methods dealing with .002 mm (.0000080) tolerances. Uses precision measuring instruments to confirm conformity to order. Perform other duties assigned by Department Supervisor JOB RESPONSIBILITY: -Read and reviews work order instructions and blueprint specifications. -Secure necessary raw materials, fixtures, punches, tools, gauges, etc. for the job. -Set up and operate specified machines, making machine adjustments to produce required results. -Perform own inspections (Visual, Optically, Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Indicators, Air Gages, etc.) -Process parts as needed including samples. -Use a variety of hand and power tools common to the trade. -Maintain accurate records and logs of processes, materials and res...Machinist, Manufacturing, Skilled Trades, Program
