Selectek is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer for our partnering company in Greenville, South Carolina. This firm is looking for candidates to serve as subject matter expert (SME) of designs for the oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industries.Employment Type: Contract (12+ months expected)Location: Greenville, SCExpected Pay Range: $70 - $100/hourJob Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Chemical EngineeringMinimum 10+ years of experience in engineering design for the oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industriesMinimum 20+ years of experience in engineering design as a facilities/plant engineer or as consulting engineerWorking knowledge of ASPEN Plus, ASPEN Batch, and/or PRO/II a plusExperienced user of PipeFlo (Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, and HTRIExperience with relief devices calculations, including complex casesFamiliarity with unit operations including but not limited to Gasification, Syngas Processing, Methanol/Ethanol Handling, Distillation, Evaporation, Centrifugation, Drying, Solids Handling and Specialty Gas Handling.Experience as a functional lead for a team of multiple individualsIn addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.Responsibilities:Serve as subject matter expert (SME) of designs for the oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industriesReview conceptual and detailed designs for diverse industries, with emphasis on the oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industriesUse best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problemsInterface with other engineering disciplines, project management, and clients to provide fully coordinated projectsPerform quality reviews on designs performed by othersMentor junior engineers on basic engineering applications and principalsParticipate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific workSchedule: Monday - Friday, flexible start/end times.
